A Golden Age of Embroidery

Photos: Metropolitan Museum of Art for the New York Times

The exhibition of embroidery at the Bard Graduate Center is both a revelation and great fun. Its subject is one of the most beloved, ancient and widely pursued art forms/crafts/hobbies on earth. Its focus is 17th-century England, the site of one of embroidery’s golden ages, it turns out,” writes Roberta Smith of the New York Times.

These images really touch my love of primitive arts. I hope we get to see this exhibition throughout our upcoming travels! If you have any other ideas for shows we should see in New York, LA or SF, please let us know by commenting below or emailing us. Thanks!
