From fishing line chandeliers to produce labels, Augustina Woodgate redefines materials and adapts them into objects of desire. Based out of Miami, Woodgate’s skin rug series which was started in 2010 elevates the plush toy to a new level. Composed of hundreds of stuffed animal pelts, each rug is lovingly crafted out of donated fuzzy friends creating both a patchwork of visual delights and personal histories.
