Los Angeles is a hot bed for 1960s architecture and with it comes a variety of patterns formed from cement. Driving down Wilshire Boulevard, there are numerous vintage office buildings with sculpted facades creating a decorative curtain between what once housed busy workers and the outside world. From lace-like blocks to three dimensional cubes, cement takes on a patterned form adding a layer of depth and design to the minimalist aesthetic common with this time period.
