On the Fall 10 runways, we’re seeing some big faces continue to crop up on tops and dresses, in very different takes. Douglas Hannant’s show took place in front of a big Basquiat-like background, and the prints were also inspired by the late graffiti artist. Marni’s prints were abstract, minimal but organic. And Christopher Kane, known for the big gorilla print dress he did for Spring 09, hits it again using Bruce Webber photos for Versace’s Versus line. So, this fall, if you’ve got the face, you’ve got the look. (It is tempting to use many more face puns but I’m going to refrain.)
