Alexander McQueen, Pre-Fall 2009

Last season, it was possible to talk about Alexander McQueen’s collection purely in terms of prints, without even mentioning his incredible skill with the silhouette. This time around, I’m afraid it simply isn’t possible, and I must admit, I’d rather talk about the expertness of his tailoring, and the precision of his cuts, than the prints. However, I shall comment on the number in the middle, which features a print reminiscent of stained glass, and a sort of Mexican Catholicism. Also, there was Argyle on all of the equestrian tights and as seen above, some sweaters too. Very gorgeous.
