Fall 09 Karen Walker

There seems to be a trend starting among designers to use images snapped on their iphones for prints. Maria Cornejo’s new collection for Pre Fall is no exception. Taken on her travels around the world, her prints are composed of vegetation from Los Angeles, pebbles from a beach (which look like feline faces), and broken pottery from Istanbul. Although beautiful, some how the cracked ceramic print feels oddly familiar – maybe that’s because it’s so similar to Karen Walker’s design from Fall 09.
