Spring 10: Ohne Titel, Vivienne Tam, Cynthia Rowley

Here are a few of my favorites from New York fashion week so far:

Newcomer fashion label, Ohne Titel is made up of recent Parsons graduates Alexa Adams and Flora Gill. Egyptian wall paintings were the inspiration for this collection and their graphic knits looked playful, yet loose and sophisticated.

The prints at Vivienne Tam are an exploration of butterflies in literal and abstracted ways. The color palette ranged from deep jewels to chalky pastels. The effect is romantic and feminine, but the large-scale abstract designs create an edgier, more mysterious look.

Cynthia Rowley’s florals seems to be dipped in photo emulsion or caught in a whirwind of black smoke. Very gorgeous.
