Inspired by the rich history of Italy once again, this time Dolce & Gabbana turn their sights on the religious imagery that Sicily has to offer. I was especially intrigued by these  tapestry-looking florals which evoke a deep nostalgia for comforting things like Grandma’s needlepoint pillows, fancy tablecloths and worn looking wall hangings. Tapestry has been a big trend lately, especially for some reason in shoes. Perhaps Maison Martin Margiela’s carpet shoes started off the imitations.
