Cacharel Book

French fashion house, Cacharel, came into being in the 1960s. The reinterpretation of traditional fabrics, such as Liberty textiles, into modern garments pushed Cacharel into the forefront of fashion. Corinne Sarrut, head designer, created an iconic style that was synonymous with the dreamy quality of the 60s and early 70s. Corinne’s friend and former model, Sarah Moon, captured the essence of the “Cacharel Woman” in her photographs. Evocative and alluring, the images created by Sarah portrayed a poetic and atmospheric world. The recent publication, Cacharel, by publisher Assouline is a great reference book filled with the designs of Corinne as captured by Sarah on film.
