Maxalot.com from Amsterdam offers amazing wallpapers from some of our favorite designers.
Kustaa Saksi is a Finnsh illustrator and designer living and working in Amsterdam. There’s an interesting interview with him in Shift Magazine. He has done amazing projects like giant building murals in New York for Havaianas, and a solo show at Maxalot.
Timorous Beasties depict “uncompromisingly contemporary images on traditional textiles and wallpapers.” They have “defined an iconoclastic style of design once described as ‘William Morris on acid.’ ” (Quotes pulled from their site.)
Eno Henze‘s work “focuses on generative processes involving both human and machine intelligence.” (Quote from Maxalot.)
These artists will be featured (among 15 others) in the upcoming show “Beneath the Surface: Flora, Fantasy and Fable in Surface Design” curated by Pattern People, and opening at Nemo Design on May 1st, in Portland, Oregon.
