Event | Future Beauty
InspirationFollowing in the footsteps of London’s Fashion Week comes the Barbican’s exhibit, Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion which runs through February 6th. The event is sure to be a show-stopper featuring work from Junya Watanabe, Zucca, minä perhonen, Issey Miyake and more. As the first comprehensive survey of Japanese avant-garde fashion held in Europe, curator, Akiko Fukai, explores the impact of these designers by showcasing their work from the early 1980s to present day. A range of other events and lectures are also taking place at the Barbican to compliment this exhibit including a conversation with Diane Pernet of A Shaded View and menswear designers, Blaak.
