InspirationTwiggy and others in Bill Gibb ensembles
This past fall the Fashion Museum in Bath, England unveiled a display of ensembles created by the late fashion designer, Bill Gibb. A revered designer who made his name in the 1970s, Gibb was known for combining textures and prints in a way that had never been seen before. Gibb grew up on a farm in Scotland and as a child would stage theatrical events using crumbled castles as his set. His love for history, especially the medieval era, wove its way into his designs. Coinciding with the exhibit, the Victoria & Albert Museum has released a publication showcasing many of Gibb’s show-stopping pieces. – Jessie
