Helene Blanche Textile Designer for Tapet-Cafe
InspirationUsing ink and watercolor, Danish textile designer, Helene Blanche, creates flowing, expressive patterns capturing nature and textures in a whimsical manner. Designing primarily for Tapet-Cafe, a Danish design house focusing on bespoke wallpaper and textiles, Blanche strives to maintain a playful feeling in her work from start to finish. “It’s not all about prettiness and perfection, but also about playing and experimenting with colours and scale,” she says.
The flowers found in the Danish countryside, such as poppies, daisies, cornflowers, and snowdrops, inspired Blanche’s pattern design titled, Fleurelle. Used by Elle Magazine for its style awards in 2016, Fleurelle dominated the event as the main form of decoration covering floors, walls, textiles, and more.
