Towering four floors above the city of Seville, this amazing community sculpture has been a difficult six years in the making. Created by Berlin based artchitects J.Mayer.H, Metropol Parasol has transformed Seville’s traditional Placa de la Encarnacion into an inspiring centre where people can shop, eat and drink or simply watch the city from a unqiue vantage point. This architectural masterpiece has successfully demonstrated how texture, pattern and interesting forms can be integrated into any public building with fantastic effect.
