The 60th Anniversary of The Festival of Britain will be commemorated in style this spring with 4 months of festivities honouring art, design, music and food. The celebrated Festival of Britain was a 1951 exhibition that showcased British design and architecture, and became famous for ushering in the mid-century look that has seen a massive revival in recent years. With this event creating much excitement within the design community as well as London itself, there has been an influx of 1950’s style interior designs which draw inspiration  from this iconic era, made possible by the avant garde attitude of The Festival of Britain.
