Only in Paris would you find trains decorated in high style with drapes, side tables, bookcases and gold leaf. The RER C which travels from Paris to Versailles was recently outfitted with trompe-l’oeil effects taken from the grand palace of the same name. The Louis XIV frillery covers ceilings and walls and offers daily users a dose of culture and beauty in an otherwise drab location.
