Chanel, John Galliano, Comme des Garcons, Just CavalliLace continues to be a big presence on the runways and on the streets. Bill Cunningham of the New York Times expounds on the phenomenon with his usual plucky charm here. Some of our picks for originality from Spring 09 include this gorgeous Victorian number by Chanel, Galliano’s cobalt curtain so artfully tied at the shoulder, and Comme des Garcon’s wooly crochet. Just Cavalli showed some very sexy and wearable lacies too. Prada’s Fall 08 line might have started this trend, and it seems to be gaining traction. Also, check out these Chanel tights.
