Textured, subtle, or bold, animal prints continue to appear in all shapes and sizes across the runways. Now that the AW13 womenswear collections have begun, we’re seeing even more interpretations of this continuous trend. From geometric giraffe to cowhide ink splots in the shape of the continents, this direction explores a range of styles and techniques. The leading look that we’re loving the most is the textural fur print. A Détacher’s swirling pattern gives depth and richness to the garments it’s on. Expect to see more of this animal skin interpretation – either hand painted or photographic – as the shows continue.
