Profile | Edith Rewa
InspirationAustralian illustrator, Edith Rewa, creates intricately drawn botanical drawings in the Blue Mountains outside of Sydney. Her sunny studio is situated in a 1920s mansion which offers views of an expansive garden leading out to the bush. This immediate source of inspiration weaves its way into Rewa’s work, who spends her days illustrating for her head scarf label, Fossick, or working on commissioned projects for companies like Gorman.
Protea and eucalyptus are just a few of the natural wonders captured in detailed form within Rewa’s drawings. The fauna of Australia features heavily as well, with cockatoos and magpies darting among the foliage. Check out Rewa’s instagram feed for more botanical delights or view her work here.
