Art | Hand Painted Geometry

Jason Karolak works in two scales. His small scale paintings, as seen here, are about 16 inches across, while his large ones range from 46 to 90 inches wide. I was more intrigued by the intimacy of his small scale work, which bring a hand painted humbleness to geometrics that could otherwise look stark and super graphic. In the world of print design, a hand done look always softens and balances geometric form, lending a human touch so needed in our increasingly technology-filled world.
