Discovered the work of Matthew Stone from this video on Nowness, which explores the artists passions and creative motivations. He spoke a lot about his desire to change the violent and dominating aspects of our species through his work, and I was moved to learn more about him. His work seems to channel some of this violence into artistic form and almost feels like a bucket of water thrown in your face. Sometimes as creatives we need a fresh wake up call like this.
