What a treat to learn about the ancient Japanese art of Temari through photos posted by flickr user NanaAkua, who documented her 92 year old grandmother’s beautiful and intricate creations. These are generally made by mothers and grandmothers to gift to their children on New Years and require a great amount of skill, dexterity and design sensibility.
