In his latest project, “The Blood Forest”, photographer Philippe Echaroux created a series devoted to telling the story of a Brazilian tribe, the Suruí. The tribe, led by chief Almir Surui Narayamoga, has been tasked with replanting and protecting a section of the rainforest that fell victim to massive deforestation. In this moving art piece, Echaroux highlights the tribe’s connection with their home by projecting their images onto the rainforest they’ve been asked to protect.
