On my  trip to New York, I got to attend the Stella McCartney presentation, which was kind of a low-key party in a grand old house in the West Village.  From the outside, the place looked like just a nice West Village apartment, but inside, it was all oppulent staircases, marble floors, and sumptuous lamps, chairs, and rugs.  Each elegant room was adorned with a few models standing around in Stella’s Autumn 2011 collection.  Roasting marshmallows in front of a fire, girls wore heavy sweater dresses with large scale bold geometrics–these were my favorites and I would die to have one of these!  In another room, models showed off the formal wear:  tailored black suits and a lace dress. There were also three women in attendance wearing Stella’s flower print dress from Resort 2011.  The guests were treated to a gorgeous dessert table with every type  of delectable sweet you can imagine.  Overall, a very nice evening of candy for the eyes and the tongue.
